Disciple – Unity, Stewardship, Generosity

Job Opportunity

Jubilee Church Hull is looking to recruit a new manager for Jubilee Life College.

Jubilee Church Hull is a growing, charismatic evangelical church in the city of Kingston-upon-Hull. Jubilee’s vision is to be a church that serves its city; in particular those who are most in need. During the week we offer a wide range of activities and support groups for those who are struggling with the challenges of homelessness, unemployment, addiction, mental health and isolation. Since its launch in September 2014, Jubilee Life College has provided informal education opportunities for vulnerable adults and those suffering from mental health issues. The college has continued to grow and develop and we now have over 100 participants engaging with courses each term. Due to the departure of our current manager, a job opportunity has arisen for a new manager to oversee the service, build relationships with other organisations and look to develop the college further.

The Full View – Open Evening

Full View2

Steeped in history, Jubilee Central serves the community in the heart of Hull’s city centre. It is the home to Jubilee Church, Hull Food Bank, Jubilee Life College as well as being a venue used by the community for different events.

To help us engage even more with the community, The Full View Project will replace the front of the Jubilee Central on King Edward Street with full-length windows, to face out to the newly pedestrianised street.

The second phase of the renovation will transform the front part of the building to house our café and catering social enterprise ‘Full’. We feel this is going to make a big difference for both our church use both during the week and on Sundays and for the community we are trying to reach as we open our doors to the public and provide training and employment opportunities through ‘Full’.

On Thursday 4th May we officially launch our project with an open evening. Join us and hear about our plans with a short presentation from our architect Julian Hakes. The evening starts at 7.30pm at Jubilee Central (62 King Edward Street, Hull, HU1 3SQ).

For more information please call us on 01482 328196.

 Gift Day – 7th May 2017

A VISION TO REACH NEIGHBOURHOODS AND NATIONS WITH THE GOSPEL

Jubilee Church Hull is continuing to grow into a significant church in the centre of Hull that reaches out to the different and varied communities of the city with the good news of the gospel. Over the last year we have seen considerable change as we planted our first church, River City Church and began partnership with a group of churches within Newfrontiers called ‘Regions Beyond’. The money given last year has helped launch River City Church, has supported the continued work of the Life College and has release finance to employ a new member of staff.

This year we want to continue to build on our work with the poor and marginalised, provide people with the chance to grow in their faith and have the confidence to share it with others. We also feel God is challenging us about having an impact both locally and in the nations and want to be able to invest in the work ‘Regions Beyond’ is doing in the nations.

To support this on Sunday 7th May at our morning meeting, we will be holding a gift day towards the work of Jubilee and Regions Beyond.

THE BIG ASK

Jubilee Church Hull is full of generous givers who are incredibly faithful with their finances, but we would ask you to prayerfully consider how you can join us in giving on 7th May. We are aiming to increase our giving through new and increased standing orders as well as one-off gifts. The money raised will be used in three areas:

Full View21.      FULL VIEW PROJECT

We have an amazing facility in the centre of Hull which is heavily used for both church and community purposes. To help us engage even more with the community, The Full View Project will replace the front of Jubilee Central on King Edward Street with full-length windows, to face out to the newly pedestrianised street.

The money already given during last year’s gift day for this project was used to employ an architect to complete the planning process and we have now received full planning permission and are ready to begin works once funds have been raised.

2.      REGIONS BEYOND

Over the last year we have been building relationships with a group of church within Newfrontiers called ‘Regions Beyond’. Led by Steve Oliver, Regions Beyond has a heart to see nations reached with the Gospel. Regions Beyond are currently working in 23 countries around the world, spreading the gospel and planting churches. We are really excited about our involvement and being part of reaching the nations with the Gospel. Part of the money raised this year will support the work of Regions Beyond and help enable many of our church members to engage with mission both locally and globally.

3.      WORK OF JUBILEE

Finally part of the money raised will help with ongoing running costs at Jubilee. We rely on the generosity of church members, giving regularly in order to do all we feel God is calling is to do as all our ministries require money and resources. Your giving also helps release finance to employ 6 members of staff to support the work of the church.

Your giving means that we can continue to invest as a family in the vision of the church, and make a greater impact in our city and around the world.
